What effects should i be aware of, if any, if i pop 250mg of Diphenhydramine. iv taken like 125mg or so and was fine except for some subtle effects (no hallucinations).
not sure if this is in the right forums or not...

The effects you will surely get are drowsiness, dry mouth, inability to think easily. You might get some hallucinations, but I imagine mostly auditory.
300mg usually gave me some type of visual hallucination at some point in the hours of discomfort.

I have a question too.
I have always had a bottle of robitussin in my cabinets, but I have been too lazy to go look at the measurements, I have always just took teaspoons.
How many teaspoons would I need to take to actually get psychedelic effects?

Ugh, horrible drug. Can't remember how much i dosed exactly, a full box of a '2 a night' popular sleeping aid.
Hallucinations we intense distortions of angles in the room, bit's on the carpet seemed to crawl in my peripheral vision. I saw a spider crawling on me that definitely didn't exist. My carpet would shimmer/ripple like a lake at points and at others bubble like a swamp. Looked like there were dark circular patches that would rise up slowly into a bubble and pop.
Auditory hallucinations came one later after the visuals had worn off, sounded like a busy room full of people chattering that started off quiet and built up into a roar. Freaked me out.
The experience didn't feel healthy at all, tho the carpet visuals were extremely vivid and quite cool.
Not something i will EVER repeat though.
Oh and i was left with a internal feeling of anxiety afterwards that gave me restless leg syndrome type symptoms for hours.

Well we need to know the measurements to know how many teaspoons. You also need to know what the active ingredients are so that you dont die.

Dimenhydrinate is better, more vivid hallucinations. What you see when you take it is all you have the day after and all you get from a "trip". A poor waste of time, but generally good stories come outta dramamine/benadryl "trips".
I have no clue on dosage, we didn't worry about milligrams when we used to eat dramamine/benadryl to "trip"

Ok well I probably wont even take any cough syrup anyways, I was just wondering xD
I would probably never do cough syrup unless I was REALLY desperate for a psychedelic experience and could not get a hold of any shrooms

I second that... if done right it's an incredible experience.
don't use it as a substitute for anything.
