Need an id asap

Ok it rained two days in a row here in florida, which is abnormal for this time of year
and i found hundreds of these under an oak tree and no one else has access to them
They look like some pictures i have seen of active gymnopilus, i want to get them id'd quick so if they are active, i can pick them and trip this weekend.



Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but they are yellow

no spore print yet, i just found them, and they are too young to print i think, the veil is still covering the gills
are there any poison lookalikes that grow in wood/debree?

Indeed... Depedning on the colourr of the gills it's poisonous or not, but I'd go for Hypholoma fasciculare.

Spore print or better pics of the mushrooms from different angles would help.

At a glance they look like Hypholoma to me too.

working on the spore print, and its deffinately not hypholoma sublateritium, its not brown at all, they are way too yellow, and they are not stained/bruised yellow, they were that color when i picked them.

i think they are a hypholoma sp. but not the one the other guy mentioned, also i have another mushroom i found on a rotting log in the woods about half a mile from where i found those except it has some brown spots and no veil
its deffinately not the same thing but it may be of the same species

The bad pics don't show it much but they are yellolw and have a nipple in the center and a woody looking stem no bruisign
