I wish I could find the link, but you can grow the mushrooms inside a glass jar if you have money and storage limits. Also, growing stones would be really easy to hide and cheap, since it also stays inside the jar.

make a liquid culture using karo syrup. search around the forums to find a good tek. if you can sucessfully do a karo tek you have pretty much infinite mycelium at your disposal that can be used to inoculate jars with faster grow rates as well

Excellent advise for keeping it cheap.

You can use a lot of things around your house for growing mushies.
Some things to keep in mind: Mason Jars - King Soopers - $10 - $15 (Depending on what size) Brown Rice - King Soopers - $3 Vermiculite - Ace Hardware - $3 Popcorn - King Soopers - $3 Peat Moss - Ace Hardware, Home Depot - $3 - $5 Oven Bags - King Soopers - $4 - $6 Thermometer - King Soopers - ?
Makeshift Casing Containers
Distilled Water Jug Bottoms CD spindles Cheap Tupperware
Spores
Skip the print, get some syringes Get a small mason jar with a cross wire section over the top Put some sterile water in it Lay the cap over the crossed wires and cover with aluminum foil Fill syringes
Some good teks Cheapo CD spindle tek 9er Tek
You can use a lot of different stuff to grow mushies, just remember sterile technique is very important. Check out Craigslist for items, I know people have given away free mason jars. Its all about looking around and doing your research before you actually engage in anything.

Maybe a TMS Grow Bag would be ideal? It's cheap, very simple, and its made so you can fruit right in the bag.
http://www.themadseason.com/growbags.asp
The Directions and Tips page shows how easy it is, and from the threads I found with a quick search showed me just how easy these are, and how well they do.
I'm starting two of these tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to a low maintenance grow.

use a teaspoon of honey in a glass of water and stick it in the microwave for one minutes make sure its well mixed with a clean spoon then microwave again but for 5 minutes ohh yeah make sure it covered with tape or something let it cool for like two hours in the microwave shake your spore syringe and inject a few drops then in a few days you have all the liquid inoculate you could need now if you have a dog use dog food if you have rice use rice if you have bird seed use that you dont need vermiculite just cook the rice then jar it up in a glass and put some foil on top then boil and wait then inject simple as pie

Reusable glass jars are cheaper in the long run. And they don't cost that much more up front, really.

Man you've got to do some reading, this hobby's so economical. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've spent hundreds, but I can afford to. If you're just looking to trip bricks here and there you can do it for little to nothing after the initial investment.
You're probably not going to be getting into agar work anytime soon, so as others have already, I'm gonna recommend you make an LC with your remaining spores. 1cc of spore solution into an LC will give you PLENTY of syringes worth of live mycelium to work with.
This isn't the only tek for doing this, but it's pretty detailed. You might want to look up and read a few different ones though. http://www.shroomery.org/10477/Cybers-Liquid-Culture-Tek
Once you've got active culture and don't have to worry about how many cc's of spores you have to use, all you've got to invest in is substrate (verm/brf/grain/poo/coir/jalapenos/whatever) You can use jars, plastic trays, fruiting chambers, syringes, etc. over and over.

Stones in birdseed in oven bags. $25 start-to-finish cost including spores, but not including a PC.

Any sponsor will work, but I definitely recommend sporeworks. When you order put in the comments that you're a member of the shroomery for a surprise.
