Zeroness
    #11338687 - 10/28/09 03:47 PM (7 years, 11 months ago)

Stephen Hawking
"the total energy of the universe is exactly zero"

I find it funny that some beleive '0 + Something = Something'
Materialist or Spiritualist, this goes to show All beleif is delusional
Its all imagination, that has 'Zero' as the foundation

This is what Buddha meant by Sunya (Emptiness)
The same thing Stephen Hawking is saying in that quote - everything is Zero
Except a Buddha feels his 'Zeroness' through meditation
Whereas an astrophysicist mentally arrives at the same conclusion
This is real logical & rational thinking, to arrive at the ultimate seeing
Seeing the universes Zeroness, thus your own Zeroness

It amazing how people can beleive in anything in a universe that is always at Zero
As we can only beleive in a 1,2,3,4... a dualistic phenomena
But 1,2,3,4... always has Zero as the foundation, when all the numbers fall away...
Zero remains

We can not beleive in Zero
Zero simply Is
Forever

:peace:

You worship the zero. How sad it is that you can never attain any real values such as 1, 2, 3 or even 4555. You always sacrifice your values to return to the zero.

How is happiness possible for you? Answer: it isn't.

Essentially your philsophy is nihilism.

Good luck with that

I dont 'worship' Zero
I Am Zero

This is the most perfect happiness possible, it is happiness itself!
Happiness, Bliss, Ecstacy, Joy, Fulfillment, Satisfaction, is only this Zero
This is the Cosmic Joke!

There is no 'return' to Zero, other than a mental imaginary journey
it is Already So
Enjoy your 'journey' though

'oneness' is really 'zeroness'
the Buddha was 'empty' with everything

see the Zero in you, you see the Zero in everything else
that is the experience 'one wih everything'

So instead of sacrificing values you negate that there are any values in the first place. That philosophy sucks in every possible way. You are right, you are a Zero. Good luck with that.

RationalEgo...

There are no values in the first place
'Values' are all in your head
What you consider valueble, another considers worthless

Real values, Real morality comes from seeing/feeling this Zeroness
Then compassion flows out to All life
Not just to particular expressions that you like or don't like
This Zero is a Love that conquers all, call it death

Meditation is to understand the Cosmos through feeling rather than thinking

IMO it makes both even more impressive than they would be on their own

You are a nihlist with a quasi-mystical bent. It is quite sad that you think the cosmos is only accessible through 'experience' rather than understanding the facts of reality through reason. Its amazingly stupid that you are trying to use science to back up your case as well. What of reason? What of rationality? What of actual world values?

I challenge you to stop eating and drinking for two weeks if you really think values are 'all in your head'. I guess you wouldn't be affected if your whole family was murdered either, since those values are 'all in your head too'?

Yes very complimentary to each other!

Before i meditated i used to think think think my way in to this
Relentlessly think think think about the universe, until i was on my knees pleading...
"I LOVE YOU! LET ME UNDERSTAND YOU!!!"
At a certain point the thinking would stop, the effort would drop away, then BAM!
I'd get it!

Eventually you come to a maturity where the mind stops running away & you have inescapably united with this Zero, this beauty, this universe, in all its expressions...
Then the rational thinking mind reflects this infinity wonderfully

I didnt say this, i used to think my way into it alot, through contemplating the nature of things, reasoning to see all thngs come to an end, rationally seeing the universe is one whole, but the experience of it is way more direct

The experience cuts to the chase, no wasting time...

The universe can be acessible through mental understanding, but the understanding leads to experience
When you know how to tap into the experience, the experience is the understanding

:peace:

Is zeroness a quality of zero in the same way oneness is the quality of unity?

But ofcourse, why would there necessarily have to be something at the base of everything?
What is the problem with reality being multiple. I mean to say, what is this obsession with what it al boils down to, what the essence is, what zeroness is? Whence this striving?

why would you assume that what's in his head would not be affected by what's outside his head?

There is no striving...

In the past i strived to know it, because my ego had to become purified to the point that it had to be begging the universe to reveal itself, that kind of striving is beautiful!

There is no 'problem' with multiplicity or 'obsession' with unity
Multiplicity is just not Reality, yes there are multiples
But they only  appear within the One Reality

the search is for Truth
Not to just be 'okay' with everything, but to look deeper
If we were always 'okay' with everything there would be no thirst for Truth

:peace:

What's the big deal with one reality?
We all live in so many realities.
Do you mean that there is something we have to find out about reality?
What is the use of saying all reality is one? Isn't that like saying, all oceans are one?

How does that help us get in touch with ourself, with our feelings, with our control games we play? How does that make us change as human being for the better?

I see no benefit in the formulation of truth as zeroness. It doesn't help to solve anything at all imo.

Values are illusionary. Nothing is ever "right" or "wrong." Death is the biggest illusion of all. Life is eternal.
