That's as dark blue as those Lactarius Indigos

Indeed those are blue! The shot is pretty cropped but the cool lighting certainly helps with the blueness. The majority of Bluwits I find are actually more purple in colour, just found a nice patch about 2 min walk from my house. They are some nice tasting mushrooms, I have yet to pick them though as I've been to busy to do anything with them and would rather them rot outside then in a bag in my fridge :wink:

I wouldn't call it a "big fight"...  More like, a lack of clarity.  I've talked to a few mycologists, one who studies Lepista and/or Clitocybe, and they are all kind of like "well, whatever you want to call it", or "Haha...  I wish there was a simple answer".  :ohwell:
