B+ and incubation
    #1133345 - 12/11/02 07:31 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

I just purchased 3 B+ spore syringes. Is this a good strain to start on for a begginer? I heard that it takes forever to colinize is this true? If not what is a good incubator setup besides the classic "two bins and a heating coil." Any other info on B+ would be greatly appreciated.

just use a few more spores if your worried about speed. Im sure you will get plenty more back with B+.

Most new growers tend to go with EQ's due to the relatively fast colonization time. I did, and they lived up to there reputation.

About the incubator: Some people use heating pads, but I really think the fish tank heater tek is the most stable.

Basically.
I wish people would realise how retarded it is to say "B+ is slow" or "Thais are potent" or whatever..
Sometimes people put a lot of work into a strain ie. grow it out, clone the nicest fruit, grow it out, clone the nicest fruit.. over and over again, and eventually you will have a consistently well-performing strain. There's a lot of bad practice going on in the noob community. people print shitty fruits and trade them, and spores from shitty fruits generally don't perform too well. So more often than not, the reason for good or bad performance has nothing to do with whether it's PR or cambo, but rather the strain's "heritage". I have 3 different ecuadors from 3 different people and they all perform quite differently, so it would be dumb to say "eq is good" because that's just meaningless..
