out walkin today and found a delicious looking patch of shaggy manes. i had to pick them. i also found two other species of mushrooms i suspect might be active, but ill post those once i get prints from them. anyways here are pics of the shaggy manes i found. any second opinions or confirmations are welcome =P enjoi

I found one like those once. I left it on my counter top and the next morning it had melted into an inky goo

yeah, shaggies need to be harvested immature and used right away.

ypu thats why they call em inky caps =P. i already sauteed them and am going to use some in chicken wrap things tonight. they smelled sooo good when they were cooking

nice. i photographed one the day before yesterday while i walked by it, meaning to pick it up on my way back home. it almost goes without saying i forgot about it.
