No.  There is no such thing as too high humidity.  Mushrooms thrive in 99% humidity.  If you had standing water, your humidity was probably too low and your cakes dried out.  Small mature fruits are an indication of insufficient substrate moisture.  Fuzz on the stems is not an indication of high humidity.

u might just need more fresh air exchange or more RH. imo.
what type of FC do u have them in?
and do u have holes in the bottom for the co2 to get out?
and what are u using to measure the RH?

I have them in a plastic storage container..no i dont have holes but i fan 3 or 4 times a day

ya not enough FAE i had the same problem....you need to drill abunch of 1/4 inch  holes 3 inches apart and still fan 4 times a day...it will help

ok u need at the least something to check the temp. as far as rh if u can see lots of sweat beads on the sides ur usualy ok.
but find something to check the temp!! asap
its more than likely too cold not enough rh and u need some holes in the bottom of your fc for air exchange.
