I wasn't here at the time but I read about it. Sad, just sad. I read his posts. He was a great guy.
Mods, please keep this thread in this forum so others that post here can pay their respects.
Thanks.

I was away from this site for a while and on my return I was saddened to hear of the departure of our respected member Coon. He was a great member and I for one miss his presence on these boards.

It really is two years already? Damn!
Although I didn't have too much to do with him, I remember that it was a shock for everyone.
RIP!

I guess they are sad that their friend died.
But they shouldn't be!
Coon would want you to keep picking mushrooms and not worry about him all that much. He is finding tons of mushrooms in heaven and he probably even posts them on shroomery in some parallel dimension that isn't that hard to access if you can wrinkle time (use the divide by zero method).

I didn't know him, but I remember the day he died. I remember laughing out loud to a few of his unusual posts prior to his death.

For all the good/great posts you have made, Alan Rockefeller, in my opinion this one was the best. I'd rate you a five for this if I hadn't done so already.

I'll always have a quick look behind the eyelids when i'm tripping, to see if he's harassing McKenna!

This is actually true.
Coon die soon? Perhaps it didn't matter that much in the end. Still, a passing is a sad thing, as it is in this case.

Yes, from what I have heard he did indeed die. For me this brings up old, painful memories. I was a mod when Ripper aka Brandon Vedas killed himself in front of other shroomerites in the chatroom. I still have the John Walsh show tape about it when it hit national TV. The mod forum went panic city while that was going down.
Then there was ViBrAnT, a member of my forum, Philosophy and Spirituality, who leaped to his death in a suicide. I, mod of the forum, a licensed suicide interventionist, saw it coming and couldn't stop him. My heart still aches when I stop and think about it.
I never met Coon. In way I am glad. Two close death memories for me from the Shroomery are two too many.

Although I neither like to ask, nor like to think about it too much, it catches my attention... Guess there's not much more to say about it, but what was going on? (If you feel OK, talking about it).

There's a thread about it in the Anonymous forum. If you search the word Ripper, you're sure to find the thread.
Basically Brandon was doing alcohol and oxy using a webcam to show others. Other members in the chat room egged him on. "Do more. Do more." He did. It killed him. I think his mother found his cold, lifeless corpse in the morning. One of the last things he said was, "I told you I was hardcore."
That was how the Physical and Mental Well-Being forum was born. I think we called it the Support forum back in day.
