Question on shelf life..

Hello I am new to your message board and it is delightful. My question is what is the shelf life for jars that have been pressure cooked already, before it's no longer prudent to inoculate. Thanks for any help fellow blue thumbs..

I will LOL. I've done g2g two weeks after pressure cooking. If you want your jars to last wrap the tops in press-n-seal or saran wrap to hold the moisture in the jar. I don't know about BRF but you always want to use your jars asap.

ive used BRF cakes after a month sitting and they worked fine, i planned on doing a mass inoculation so spent two weeks pressure cooking 5 jars every 3 days and they worked as well as the fresh ones.

I've heard that if your grain or whatever has not grown anything and you have tried to keep the moisture content correct that it is a good medium to use. The whole idea of a test jar whether inoculated or not is just that. To see if you did a good job of sterilizing. Moisture content is all I would be concerned with. like was posted above.
