Agaricus sp.
    #11327690 - 10/26/09 10:58 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

Habitat:
Neglected baseball field.

Gills:
Pink, turning dark brown in older specs.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Bruising:
None

Other information:
I know that scent is very important for Agaricus, but I'll be damned if I can detect anything except "mushroomy".  I'm not getting sweet, anise, ammonia or phenol...

P.S. the pink on the cap is a stain from the gills of another mushroom.  It doesn't bruise that color.

Are you going to eat them?

I had some the other day and they were great.

If I can get a confirm that they're edible, yeah

I haven't spent too much time trying to ID Agaricus before, so I'm a bit gun-shy eating them

If they're not staining yellow and smell pleasant I see no reason not to give them a go.
