Guilt Trips
    #11325672 - 10/26/09 06:37 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

My mom finds the need to lay a guilt trip on me as much as she possibly can. It
annoys the fuck out of me. She acts like I am a worthless piece of shit. I take
15 credit hours in nursing school and work 25 hours a week, plus homework and
tests. Some how she still finds the need to bitch about how she works harder
than I do. She works a freaking newspaper. She puts Sunday adds into the paper 8
hours a day. Actually she put the adds on a machine and it puts them in the
paper.

Yet I never do anything and I am a lazy ass. I don't appreciate anything. It's
not like I trash the house then leave. I clean up after myself. I'M SO ANGRY!

Anyone else have this guilt trip problem?

People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't
think that's what we're really seeking. I think what we're seeking is an
experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely
physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and
reality, so we can actually feel the rapture of being alive.:flowerchild:

All parents do it, because they want you to do good in life and are afraid you might not. She's just paranoid.

I'll fucking get beat if I pull guilt trips on her. She can play but she can't take. She broke a window over it once. Fucking crazy bitch. I just try to ignore it, but this is me being really made venting to the Shroomery.

Your mom either hates her life, and is displacing her unhappiness onto you

or something you're doing is ticking her off, and she's too embarrassed to mention it- so she's using this as a scapegoat. I'd sit her down and have a one on one, over tea.

I know my mom hates her life for a fact. My dad left her about 5 years ago when
I was a freshman. I don't get it she has a wonderful boyfriend, a house, a car,
a job, money, what more could she want?

Alot of parents are like that. Especially mine, my dads the biggest asshole in the world but, I try not to let it get in my way, because I know in a couple of months Im 18 and outta the house. So cheer up, dont let it bother you so much, and live your life. later  :leaving:

Not suggesting you try this but my mother was the guilt trip queen for the first half of my life, so I just decided to stop loving her. That bitch is still the same old guilt trip slangin' ho she's always been I just don't give a fuck anymore.

That's what I am going to do after I get my degree. Right now I have to pretend or else I'm out a home. I don't like that idea much right now.

Soon I'll be making $30 an hour laughing at her because she needs help and was a bitch to me.

It's sad how so many people don't even acknowledge the saying "What goes around, comes around"

It's like they don't even realize/recognize that we have a memory.

That is sad. I think they are all just self indulging selfish people. Some how I did not follow in my mother's shoes. I think it was the mushies :mushroom2:

THANK GOD!

She settled and she hates her life... Or someone else decided not to settle on her, and she hates her life... Either way she hates her life, and you are an extension of that said life

So the only way she knows how to treat herself, she treats you, and you will be strong for it, or you will fail.

I hope you will be a stronger person, and realize what she does and how it makes you feel, and simply try not to do that to anybody else, because you know how much it sucks.
