I found these near an area where i have found wine caps all summer. They lack the anulata ring. Heres some pix

Even with no ring left from the veil? I thought  annulata refered to the ring left from the veil??

It is odd that they don't have an annulus at such a young age. When in doubt throw them out though, as they say.

You should make some prints from them.

I wanted to clone them , i have agar ready. Just hesitant because of the lack of ring. Sucks these were meatier and larger then most others. They dont look old enough to print yet.

Those are wine caps, the veil never separated from the margin. Eat them.
