I just think of this:
Their experience in life has brought them to this point, and had they heard or been taught more.. non-retarded beliefs.. that's what they'd believe!
But they don't, so you just have to respect the fact that this is how far they've got so far, they've got this many miles of backtracking to get back to square one even.. Maybe just throw out some advice, or something to make them think otherwise..

We are generally all retards IMO. The difference between the top and the bottom is very slight when looked at in depth.
But lets face facts. The human animal is a pack animal and pack animals have hierarchy's and we all want to be somewhere far from the bottom. So we pick on each other to raise ourselves. Sometimes in such subtle ways that we can claim we never do it and that's really retarded.

Either through parents, friends, teachers or other people in their experience, they have never been taught anything different than what they know so far. It's not their fault. Ah, I apologize for saying you should do anything. Really, I'm just trying to say that not another human is just another human like you. Just because they believe something that we believe to be wrong doesn't mean they should be mocked. That's spreading negativity for what reason?
That's an interesting way to look at things.. and I respect your viewpoint  . I wasn't talking about the universe itself, though. I was focusing on a person or people really.

I'm sorry, it just doesn't work this way for me. In order for me to respect something, it has to gain it first.
Nothing in this life is so serious that it can't be made fun of, and I prefer to laugh at things instead of fearing them or having a morgue-like attitude. Laughing never stopped anyone from also understanding the thing they're making fun of, it never depresses and it always cheers people up.
