Cold dunk question... was this a fluke?

I harvested one big fattie off of a pyrex dish with a sliced/crumbled BRF cake. The ratio of materials were probly 5/1 cake to verm...

I harvested and then took the dish into the kitchen and put water directly in the dish and floated the sub and verm, I didnt put anything on it to weigh it down. I came back about 8 or so hours later to get a soda, and I had 3 new and fairly prominate pins. Took it out and put it back into the FC with a slight puddle of water remaining in the dish. The next day I had a 4th pin.

Basically inquiring as to a floating dunk producing pins... Does anyone do this on a regular basis? Anyone know of any problems that might arise using this for the rest of my dunks?

youre a confusing little fucker.
and if i understand you correctly all youre saying is that you dunked your cakes by floating them in a water tray?
people do this alot. but usually only when they have a pinset that will need lots of water. you should only place your cake in a small tray of water overnight. then remove the tray.
