Good vibes off of our pets!
    #11314827 - 10/24/09 08:54 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Every time I trip I usually run across one of my 2 cats, the snowshoe we named "Ninja".
And every time I do I get a sudden mood increase. It always seems to follow me around on a trip
and acts really nice.
Im a huge cat lover, and find them utterly fascinating so just seeing a cat on a trip just improves my mood a bit.
I feel as if tripping strengthens the bond as well, and I wonder if the cat understands what I am going through?

I would like to let the cat trip, but there is no way it can understand what its going through.
Maybe one day when im tripping I will give it catnip, haha

Anyone else get really good vibes off their pets? or animals in general?

One time I was having a tough time with the comedown of a strong candyflip, my music and room were seeming to cave in on me, and i was getting a little bit of the half psycho/anxiety ridden thought patterns that comes with a strong psychedelic comedown, so i tabbed an oc 20 and went outside to smoke a bowl. while i was about to light up my big fat cat named belbe came up and started being really nice, tho shes usually very withdrawn and paranoid. she sat with me while i smoked a bowl and chilled a couple hours, and i the rest of the time i had a great trip :gethigh:

On my first pharmahuasca trip I found it very enjoyable to watch my kitten play and just having it around made the trip so much better

The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides.

Me and a few friends were on shrooms this one time. And one of my friends started teasing the cat and playing around with it. To which he got the clear response "PISS OFF AND DIE". She stopped and was quite shocked.

My dog always gives me good vibes. He's a great trippin buddy. I love animals. They are really interesting and fun to watch while in altered states(or just sober).

I have a cat named Ninja too!

He is all black long hair and used to be ferrel.

Kittens are even better when tripping, they are on perma-trip mode.

It's amazing how animals know when we're tripping. Their spiritual understanding is greater than ours.

Definitely know how you mean. I was at a buddy's house, and the cat was so scared to be around people, sat next to me on the couch as I closed my eyes. Petting him felt hella good.

both of my dogs can tell when I am tripping. they usually just act way more excited than usual and act oddly. they have both also gotten their paws on small amounts of mushrooms before, but Ill never know if they tripped.

haha definitely. my first trip i sat and talked to my cat for like an hour straight.  he definitely understood me. i honestly believe that trip brought us closer together. obviously he couldnt understand what i was saying, but i am certain he appreciated how i was saying it (tone of voice, eye contact, hand gestures etc).

he seems more affectionate post-trip. although he's always been an extremely affectionate cat.

Oh I wish I had a pet that could hang out with me when I trip and all the time. The next time I move I am gonna live in an apartment that will allow me to have pets and I will get a cat or dog. You are all lucky to have pets! They are great friends!
