    #11320584 - 10/25/09 09:30 PM (8 years, 8 hours ago)

Habitat:
Deciduous forest in Connecticut USA. all species were on or around dead/rotting wood

Gills:
species 1: light brown, adnate
species 2: darker brown, adnexed
species 3: light brown, adnexed

Stem:
species 1: 4-6cm, thin, whitish-brown with darker browinish-green(possible staining?) at the end
species 2: 2-4cm, thin, dark brown, hollow
species 3: 1-2cm, thin, light brown near cap darker toward base

Cap:
Species 1: 1.5-4cm, dark drown, smooth, conical with roughly symmetrical "nipple" in center

Spore print color:
Species 1: brown

Bruising:
species 1: possible brownish green

Other information:
All of them seem to have an earthy "mushroomy" smell

I didn't have time to post all the info on all the species. I'll be back with the rest and hopefully pictures.

ya I'm working on it I just have to find the USB cord for my camera lol

but in the meanwhile continuing the descriptions;

Cap:
species 2: 1.5cm, whitish(now dry), convex, mostly flat
species 3: 1-1.5cm, brownish-white(dry), conical but not symmetrical - the cap seems to lean to one side, darker toward center

Bruising:
species 2: purplish brown
species 3: dark purple(maybe blue?!)

Other Information:
I didn't do spore prints of the other two species because I only found two each of them. but I did take several good pictures of the underside of the cap and gills. as soon as I can upload all the pictures I hope it will be enough.
