storing spent coffee grounds

can i just put them in a plastic bag and throw it in the freezer or do i need to dry them first?:mushroom2:

how long will they stay good?

Why bother storing them when you can get them for free from any restaurant or Starbucks?

But if you want to store them, I have heard of people freezing them wet yes, but those things are a madhouse for contams, I'd say go fresh or go home...

yo, Why throwing something in the garbage when its still good and when its pretty easy to store it ?!?!

There is no possible contam in the freezer lol, I even succed to keep some spent cofee a bit in the fridge without contam. but freezer is better

freezing works great but be sure to pressure cook it when you decide to use it.

lol I didnt even bother letting the cofee geting to room them. Throwed the frozen cofee in hot coir and thats it. Just make sure there is no big chunk and thats it.

dude i've had some froze for almost 2 months now with no probs... and i didn't dry it first either...

ya, sometimes i fork my substrate mix in coffee and verm, and case it with verm and coir, or straight verm.

But why bother risking contamination when there is a fresh source no more than 30minute walk from most people?
