Which snowshoes?

I am really looking forward to getting more into snowshoeing this year. I suspect i will be walking mostly trails around ski-hills and into the semi-backcountry where there's lots of powder...
My price limit is $300 or less CDN.
I have experience with Atlas snowshoes, and liked how the binding was padded which kept the straps from cutting into my boot/foot.
I have also heard good things about the MSR design...
In your opinion, whats the best "all mountain" snowshoe (weight/size arn't of particular importance.)
I am considering these:
Atlas 1235's: http://atlassnowshoe.com/product/12
MSR Lightening Ascent 30"+: http://cascadedesigns.com/msr/snowshoes/steep-and-challenging/lightning-ascent/product

Shit, I still have this pair of Redfeathers that have never been used. A friend bought them, never used em, gave em to me, and now I've never used em. I keep threatening that I'll do it someday, but you know how that goes.
If you are interested I'd probably be willing to part with them.

Maybe you'd be interested in a trade or something?
They look fairly outdated + ill still be purchasing a quality pair, however - it would be great to have a pair kicking around so i can drag my friends into the bush.
If you are interested in a trade, let me know.
I highly recommend you do go snowshoeing though. It is fantastic fun!

I've never tried atlas shoes, but I hear they're generally better than MSRs in deep powder, while MSRs are better on steeper slopes and harder snow/icier conditions. For the typical snow conditions here (Cascade concrete), I think MSRs are better. I have some MSR denali ascents that I like a lot, I'll probably go for the lightning ascents when they need replacing, but they look like they'll last a good long time...

I like the looks of those MSRs you linked to. I have the Atlas, or at least the model they made before that one, and they're excellent, but I do tend to slide a lot on steep hills. None of those pictured above will be good on deep powder. You'll sink all the way to the ground or hard pack below the powder. I got into some 48" deep powder last winter and had to take my Atlas snowshoes off to get out of it. RR

Well, thats how it goes though - unless you have massive snowshoes.
Last year i wore atlas snowshoes at the skihill and i sunk quite a bit in the powder, but it was still considerably easier than walking without them.
