Rooting Cauliflower Mushroom?

Habitat:
PNW, elevation was about 1100ft. under conifers, on the side of a decaying log, was in the dirt with long single root.

Gills:
none

Stem:
length is 29" width is 14", weighs almost 5 pounds.

Cap:
Looks like lettuce, main part of each little leaf is white then a cream to brown edge color.


Bruising:
none that I see atm.

Other information:
Has a fairly strong mushroom smell.

sure looks like it to me, Sparassis radicata
And from what i hear, its a choice edible in stews, but wait for a TI to confirm.

Yeah, sorry, forgot to mention which one I thought it was as well.
Sparassis radicata Weir.
If this is indeed it, which I will wait for a T.I. to say so, anyone have any cooking ideas? The AFSG says to stew them to make them more digestible. I was thinking maybe making a mushroom stew with chicken stalk or something.
Throw some ideas out for me. Thank you in advance.

if it were me, i would personaly put it in cabbage stew w. carrots and peppers and a tomato base sauce with maybe chopped celery and sliced onions. Eat it with fried pork or chicken, w.e Just an idea
