Try to imagine a color that you've never seen before.
Not just a shade of the color blue or a lighter red or a mix of green and purple
I'm talking about a color that isn't based on any color you know.

What if everyone sees specific colors in their own unique way. Maybe the color blue looks one way to me but completely different to someone else, yet they are still calling it blue because that's what they know blue as. Our perceptions of the same color could be completely different. There is no way to really explain to someone what blue looks like to me and no way to differentiate between my blue and someone else's blue...


or maybe i'm just stoned :stoned:

the only perception that matters is that of your own experience, right?
all others' experiences are trivial or even just a figment of your own imagination.

maybe the only person that exists is you, as an encompassing consciousness
that only experiences the rest of the universe (and colors) as a means of explaining the questions of your own being.
but you and I are the same consciousness of the same individual being experiencing itself as all of existence.

therefore you have questioned and answered yourself. the colors are all the same, but experienced different.

so if we're all just apart of one conciousness experiencing itself, and i was able to obtain total selflessness and unite myself with this one great conciousness...would i be able to do things like read your mind, or see the colors you see

all colors are based on red, yellow, blue, or lack thereof.

some religions call it nirvana or just enlightenment. when you "transcend" the consciousness that is your own and realize the "oneness" with the entire knowledge of the universe.

the experience loses the point of view of you or me, but becomes ALL.
you see everything as it is forever before and ever since, as was experienced by everyone. "heaven", "nirvana" transfer of your minds energy into the rest of the universal energy and matter.

I am not even high, just weird. lol

a book called "the pig that wants to be eaten" or something similar has lots of little thought experiments like that, it doesnt go really deep but its interesting and handy to read

there are a huge variety of spectrums of light that are above or below the "visible spectrum.

how would the human mind perceive the spectrum of x-ray or gamma etc.
if we had some "eye" that was evolved to receive these different frequencies. would it be a different "color" or something completely different and unfathomable to our current experience of the external world

High doses of Mushrooms and DXM both have shown me colors I've never seen before... don't know how to explain them either

It's like trying to explain what a color looks like to a blind man.

You just can't

dkamp18 hit the nail on the head.. it's because our brain is capable of processing and showing different colors but our eyes can't see the entire light spectrum

how would you describe their experience, as a more emotional point of view?

I have heard blind people try to describe their idea of "colors" that they have seen in visions of day dreams, hallucinations or regular dreams.

could this be related to our own view of sight and color, or a completely separate plane of incidence?

maybe their are entire "celestial bodies" seen as planets or stars that have somehow evolved a sentient consciousness with its external world

My second time tripping I saw a new color. Impossible to explain but in simplest form it was yellowish-pinkish-bluish-greenish in the sky. Insane my man. It was sick. Btw you're getting 5 shrooms even though I only read "Maybe I'm just stoned"

What about a size that's so big our minds can't comprehend it instead of a color.

It's like our universe times a billion making up one huge multiverse and then the multiverses combine to make up a megaverse and it just goes on and on forever until it reaches the smallest size again and starts over like a loop

the smallest size being an atomic particle that makes up our existence.

an infinitesimally indivisible particle that is comprised of the particles of an infinite number of other smaller but equally expansive universes?

i don't know if you are up with the current quantum physics but the current proposed "smallest particle" is the higgs boson.
what gives the "God Particle" its field energy?

I could keep going smaller (or larger in the case of the higgs) but my own education in the current knowledge of things keeps me from getting too in depth without just speaking too rhetorically.
