so everyone with this status will be able to use personalisms, like the select favored few are allowed to do so now, while the noobs get bashed by the condescending regulars while completely defenseless (which would also help to prevent them from becoming a regular, not to mention scaring noobs away).

I don't want it to be erased; I believe it serves as an important function for this forum.

Do you have any data about how often this rule is used by the moderator?

Diploid and Veritas might. Hell, even deCypher might.

Of course the moderators would know. I said do you know, since you claim it serves and important function.

If Diploid & Veritas believe that rule #5 serves an important function (which they most likely do, since they haven't deleted it), then I agree with them.

Are you asking me for the specific details of why I agree with them?

No, I don't want to know why you agree with them, you haven't even established what they think. You would be expaining why you agree with yourself about what you think they think.

You answered my question. You have no facts about how they feel about the rule or how often it is used.

If they are maintaining the rule, that most likely means that they feel it's appropriate, don't you think? :imslow:

I have a proposition: Why not add the label "PS&P Regular" to all users that have posted in this forum more than X number of times, just like the label that 'Trusted Cultivators' have in the 'Mushroom Cultivation' forum, and "Trusted Identifiers' have in the 'Mushroom Hunting and Identification' forum that appears under their avatar; this label will only appear in posts made in this forum, just like the and "Trusted Cultivator" and "Trusted Identifier" only appear in their proper forums.

5) Long-time forum regulars will generally get a littler more discretion from the moderators than noobs. This is in recognition of their many contributions to the nature and character of this forum, and the many times they've had to deal with the noob who shows up with a new, mind-blowing concept that's actually an old rag we've deconstructed here a hundred times over the years. If you're new here, keep that in mind. Stick around and become a regular yourself!

This feature would make it so there's absolutely no confusion in regard to who gets "a Lotte more discretion from the moderators."

I just want to remind people to vote (on the poll in page 1) or die! :obamadre:
