slow colonizer.. took 2.5-3 weeks for 100%, just cased them w/ verm and worm casting... haven't fruited yet.. still colonizing the casing, but I will definently post on the fruiting characteristics when the time comes.

If your jars haven't shown any growth in almost a month you probably have a baterial contamination. Or else you have stalled your jars from temperature fluctuations.

My name isn't boxtop, but I am the one that isolated the Allen strain. Yes of course it's viable. Why would you think it's not viable? Do you even know what viable means?
vi?a?ble adj. 1. Capable of living, developing, or germinating under favorable conditions.
The colonization time for the Allen strain has been 14 to 16 days on Rye grain, 2 to 3 weeks on PF cakes which isn't really too slow. I'm working with it on birdseed now, results will be posted at a later date. The fruiting has been pretty fast, 4 to 6 days on the first flush for pins. I have been getting pins on the 2nd and 3rd flushes in 2 to 3 days, which is extremely fast. The fruits are very nice, the caps have a unique shape to them. Potentcy is very good, I haven't heard a complaint from anyone yet! This is a beautiful fruit that you will really enjoy.

ajg2425, I have some Allen strain fruiting right now. They took less than 3 weeks to colonize. I'll let you know how they turn out.

A friend of mine has 4 half pint jars going from the Allen strain. He's using BRF and verm. He started them on 11/29 and is at about 80% colonization. Not bad at all. And the mycelium is awesome, long long fingers of it stretching way out. One of the jars only took at one of the innoc points and it's already caught up to the rest of the jars somehow. I'd say it's agressive. No incubation chamber either, btw...

I have this strain in the FC and its almost taken over the substrate completely. Does it matter how far up the tub your cup is for the bubble stone? If its too close to the lid, well water drip from the top of the tub due to the humidity? Is a little water ok? Im a noob

Get rid of the cup and bubble wand. Build a shotgun terrarium by drilling lots of holes in a tub and placing 4" to 5" of damp perlite in the bottom. It sounds like you're reading some outdated info. RR

My JA (MS) crap-shoot turned out, ...well: CRAPPY!

A cube is a cube, I just got some shitty luck on genetics due to MS.
Not sure this is an appropriate post, sounds like it should go in the, "Strain Discussion Sticky" ?

Terence McKenna Said:
"We have to create culture, don't watch TV, don't read magazines, don't even listen to NPR. Create your own roadshow. The nexus of space and time where you are now is the most immediate sector of your universe, and if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, then you are disempowered, you're giving it all away to icons, icons which are maintained by an electronic media so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y. This is shit-brained, this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion, and what is real is you and your friends and your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, your fears. And we are told 'no', we're unimportant, we're peripheral. 'Get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that.' And then you're a player, you don't want to even play in that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world."
