Why Swayze didn't write his "How I Beat Cancer" book

Um, for the same reason that Steve McQueen, Michael Landon and Carl Sagan failed to write their books.
Seems obvious doesn't it? Yet this simple point is lost on people who reference a cancer survivor as having some mystical secret rather than merely having temporarily won the luck of the draw.

Bullshit. It's not that black and white. Some people beat cancer and die of something else. They change their lifestyle habits emotional and physical. Sometimes it's not too late, they can change enough and it works. There is IMO no "spontaneous" remission without these factors coming into play.

Most of the survival books center around mental attitude which has shown zero statistical correlation.
Did Swayze's smoking contribute to his condition? Likely. Hard to sell a one page New Age book that sez, "DON'T SMOKE!"

Still doesn't mean that someone can't treat their illnesses successfully with lifestyle changes. Who cares if the book sells? Snake oil salesmen abound.
Somehow I can't be convinced that a stressed out person who learns to let go and relax would not facilitate better health. In my own life the more I relax the better my day to day health.

I let one go in church today. I felt better but the person in the pew in front of me turned around and said PU in a most unpleasant manner!
