The peaceful warrior meditation
    #11316870 - 10/25/09 08:04 AM (7 years, 11 months ago)

Hopefully this is the right place to talk about this and hopefully some of you have read the book "The peaceful warrior"...

I'm a bit of a lurker, come here to read and learn .etc Anyways, recently I read the book mentioned above. In the book mentioned above, there is a part where one of the characters talk about deep levels of meditation, reaching a point where you see sounds and hear lights. This sounds quite similar to hallucinogens. So I'm wondering if it is possible to reach that deep in meditation and if there are similarities between the effects of drugs and the effects of meditation or anything else you might know.

Hope to hear some opinions, ideas or anything really

Sounds like Synesthesia. It's a real medical condition.

theres a difference between psychedelics and meditation.

you can (and i know this for a fact) see sounds while tripping. very rare for me though.

never had that while meditating.
