Anyone else enjoy a good falafel?

It was an acquired taste for me, I hated it the first few times I had it.
After finally having decent falafel made by those who knew how to make it right I grew to love it.
Some people use one kind of bean in the making of it, but a proper falafel has both garbanzos and favas in it.
I put dill tahini sauce, Persian cucumbers and tomatoes on my homemade ones.

OHMYFUCKINGGAWD
i love falafals...in pita bread, with chicken, by itself, anyway, though they are especially tasty with hummus...there is a mediterranean restaurant near me that has the fluffiest on the inside but crunchiest on the outside falafels...
i have such a craving for them now. DAMN YOU!

The one I had today tasted eerily like taco bell, but in a good way.
Best one I ever had was at a middle eastern restaurant in Peru. Second best one I ever had was at a farmer's market in Michigan.

A tangy liquidious tahini sauce is the desired dressing. Baba gannoush is great in addition to that. Hummus is a good substitute if you dont have a good tahini dressing.

tahini! thats what i was thinking of...
where i go there is a combination dish with salad and vegetables, falafals, and then hummus and baba ganoush along with pita bread...the tahini sauce is what really makes it great though, they douse the salad with it and it is awesomely tangy

I have a tub of tahini and I use it to make both my own hummus and tangy tahini sauce.
Actual tahini by itself(without the lemon juice, kosher salt, dill, vinegar, etc) tastes like peanut butter.

Never had one, they've always sounded really appealing though, especially now. Where'd you get your falafel?

You can buy mix in any grocery store, just gotta add water and fry up. Or you can make it from scratch, not too hard.

I love a good falafel, and make them all the time. A few months ago, I put some falafel batter in my waffle iron and made a falafel waffle.
It was kind of dry.

Dang, I ain't had me a falafal in at least a year. I don't go out to restaurants much, but when I do I very rarely see or order one. Gotta make it just the way you like it. I can't trust just anybody to master the art of falafal making.
