Cyan Transplant in WA state
    #11308906 - 10/23/09 11:42 PM (8 years, 10 months ago)

Looked through the FAQ and couldn't find an answer to this...  Here's the deal:

-I've built a wood chip box in my back yard, ready to grow some cyan's.
-I came across a patch of cyan's 2 days ago near a heavy traffic area in a park.
-I want to dig (under the mycelium) and transplant said patch to my wood chip box.

What would be the best method to do this (especially this time of year)?

Should I attempt to transplant into cakes first (using PF Tek as I do with cubes) then move the cakes to the wood chip bed?  Should I just move what I dig up to the chip bed and hope for the best next season?  I'm stuck...

u could get some cyans put them in a blender with water and let the mycelium grow on the wood chip but i think you ahve to incubate it while it colonizing

The latter, but only with a small part.  Don't destroy the native patch.
