I know I didn't get a picture of the bottom of the stipe, but it has one of those fibrillose leg warmers.

Check out shroomydan's Psilocybe squamosa with an absent annulus on M.O., it pretty much looks like the same thing. http://mushroomobserver.org/13042?search_seq=900488

All the ones I found were underneath leaves and clumps of grass. Any that were exposed got burnt pretty bad by frost.

Dan's mushrooms are a lighter tan color and the gills are purple-brown. Your mushroom has dark gray gills and has orange tinges on the stem. I've found L. ceres with orange tinges with no apparent damage, Dan's mushrooms don't have it. L. squamosa tends to have a slimier cap than ceres.

Look at a specimen under the scope or send it to someone who will. L. squamosa lacks pleurocystidia (chrysocystidia) while L. ceres will have chrysocystidia on the gill face and edge.

L. ceres is wide spread in North America and Europe.

I didn't save any specimens but I did make some spore prints from them. Are there any differences in the spores at all?

I've never heard of anyone finding L. ceres around here. Hell maybe I'm the first.

is something in the Tricholomopsis decora complex
The dark brown polypore is Polyporus brumalis
and the purple one is a Ascocoryne sp.

the important thing to note is that they are an indicator for cyanescens (in my experience)

those, cucumber mushrooms, stropharia ambiguous and a few others.

i'm going to a mushroom exhibit put on by the local mushroom society tomorrow

super exciter for the magic mushroom, pine and king boletus exhibits.
