This morning's ridiculous haul :D
    #11305701 - 10/23/09 11:49 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

So, still sick with the swine flu, I decided to go for a walk at a park about 10 seconds down the road from my house. I had checked here for shrooms in the past, but always turned up empty....until today.
Psilocybe Cyanescens!

I left about 100-200 pins too. The best part? Someone had picked a good 10-15 of them and just left them lying there...
Oh well!!

Oh yeah, sorry for the low quality pics, I only had my cell

Hahah, in my town there are like 3 police officers, they probably just didn't know what they were doing. As I walked around the rest of the park there were many more mushrooms that had been picked and tossed to the side, so my guess is whoever did it was a ridiculously ignorant picker

Awesome find! Checking paid off. Is it possible they just collected a few samples to test because they are new to hunting? If so you should try to cover it up with leaves or something of the sort.

I doubt it, as I collected roughly 150-200 (haven't made the official count yet). They're RIGHT next to a trail in this park, the pins I left should be ready to pick in the next few days, but even if someone comes through and destroys the rest of the patch, I'm still pretty content with the haul I brought in this morning.

North Seattle eh?

That's awesome though. Amazing something so great can go unnoticed by so many people. I noticed a hunter the other day walking out of a small forest/park (not sure what you'd call it as I'm new to the area and parks in SoCal are pathetic to most ones here), and it looked like he had a fairly hefty haul. I made a note of the area I saw him checking out but I admit I'm going to feel a little guilty if I find his patch. Could have just been hunting edibles though.

Yeah, I had explored all over Seattle with no results all month. Then this morning I just said fuck it, I'll go hunt again. Like I said, I left about 100-200 pins that will be ready for picking in a few days (i'm going to focus on drying these before picking any more). I'm sure the park has another gigantic patch, as the environment there is all the same.
Be persistent. I've hunted every other day for the past 2 months and these are the first finds of the season. The weather in Seattle has been A+, they're out there.

Hahah, most likely. I'm heading back to cover up the pins right now and check for any more patches I may have missed.
