waiting for colonization

so it has been 3 days since i inoculated the jars of verm and brf, Ive been doing alto of reading about the various ways to do this,and i think i may have made a wrong turn. i re taped the holes in the jars after inoculation should i have done something different?

You can re-tape them as long as you use micropore tape (or a similar breathable medical paper tape). If you use masking tape or duct tape or something, you are cutting off gas exchange and your jars will stall. You don't need the tape if you have a dry verm layer.

tape is optional but should be breathable tape

Patience is the key in the hobby... 3 days is nothing, I've seen jar taking 3 weeks to show the first sign of life so don't stress. If you don't see contam (anything not white lol) your Okay.

Take care and don't just focus on this, it will take time.
