Satan's Boletes? (Pics)

I was so sure I had finally found a King Bolete, but, Im thinking that its a Satan's bolete instead. Can someone please help me with this one?

Those sure look like Boletus satanas to me. Very pretty specimens, and nice photos. (I assume you know not to eat them).

Darn!!! I was really hoping they were going to be the kings. Oh well...

They blued really fast and I was like.. wait, Kings dont do that!

The three together have to weigh at least 15 pounds. Its incredible.

BTW- I am using a Sony DSC-P3 digicam.

Nice find - they're really big!

There is a simple rule with boletes: if the pores are white or yellow then they're edible while boletes with red pores are usually not - some are even mildly poisonous like B. satanas.

yes, the macro capability of sony digi cams i find are truly amazing

I found a ton of yellow pored boletes throughout the day. I didn't think they were edible though. Lol I didnt even take pictures of them because they were everywhere. I should really check those out.

Yeah i have been finding alot of those types too. I dont know what species though. They are big yellow spike-gilled mushrooms. Anyways, those ones there are really cool lookin. Good pictures.

you should take some pics of some of the other yellow-pored bolets, man.
more likely to be edible.
those are nice devil's there.
distinctive lavendery caps.
pretty.
