Article on CNN.com, Should You Sacrifice Love for Work?
    #11301358 - 10/22/09 07:45 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

http://www.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/worklife/10/22/cb.sacrificing.love.for.work/index.html

I think if you're willing to sacrifice love for work, its not true love.

I think people experiencing "true love" would sacrifice anything for each other, not sacrifice their love for their work.

That is all.

You shouldn't have to.

A person's "work ethic" and/or career goals are similar to other deeply seated personal values.  It's just part of who you are.

No different than asking:  "Would you sacrifice your religious or life view for love?".

Its just another factor to consider when choosing a partner.

...most subjects find the experience valuable, some find it frightening, and many say that is it uniquely lovely.

Wouldn't it be true love for your work?

Who says you can't truly love someone and truly love your work at the same time?
