Can someone identify this brightly colored yellow mushroom?
    #11297015 - 10/22/09 12:23 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I found this bright yellow mushroom in the woods. It was by itself. I am wondering if this mushroom would either kill me, make me trip, or do nothing. So can someone tell me about this. I am new to mushrooms and I want to know more about them. I have other mushrooms to be identified as well that I will post later. So please tell me about this.

I was going to guess Hygrocybe flavescens as well.

Supposedly edible (if that's the right mushroom) but neither good, nor halucinogenic.

Can you get a pic of the gills and stem and possibly give habitat? Just as much info about the area it was found in to help narrow it down a bit.

The area was in the woods. I found this in like august I think but I just found some this morning. I live in PA and the ones I found today were under some dead leaves.
