I just had the green attack my wbs jars. All are being pc'ed and this timed bleached the shit out of'em. Real bleach. The last time i use a product called 'pink' it pink crystals mixed with water it really for wine making but it like powder bleach. Sterlizling agent.
No good all my jars had the same proplem the very bottom of every jar only 9, was going green. My hand was to wide to reach the bottom to scrub it out. I fixed that got a long scrubber.
My mason jars are like pets and I feel like they dumped all over my carpet.
Mason jar love.
Im just pissed that i had to restart it over again and spending all day around my pc do batch after batch. It hold 4, 500 ml. Make for a long day.
You don't really need to scrub jars that well. Whenever I have jars that go bad, I sterilize them in the PC for a cycle, then dump them out in a bucket of soapy water (under the water, so the soap bubbles catch any spores).
Whenever you sterilize your next load of grains, any nasties left in the jars will be nuked by 15 PSI, especially fungi imperfecti. The only stuff that can really survive at those temperatures are endospores and certain thermophilic bacteria.
