Harvesting Moon flower seeds
    #11298301 - 10/22/09 08:57 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I grew a massive moon flower this year and its my first, I was wondering when do I harvest the seeds.

The ovums (is that the word?) are swollen, they are fairly large now, almost golf ball size, when should I harvest the seed from them?

By moon flower do you mean Datura or Ipomoea?

Either way, you want to wait until the pod is dry and brown.

Yeah, it takes a while.... They get super hard, turn brown and get sorta crunchy... At least my Brugmansia Suaveolens does.... Which I believe is the same family...?
