a few monotube questions!

I've had some luck with the shotgun terrariums, and i've had alittle luck with the monotubs. But my monotubs only seems to fruit around the edges of the substrate. when I put into fruiting conditions, I didn't use any casing mix. also my monotubs seem to do well, but they usually get contaminated after the first flush. which is odd cuz i got them next to my shotgun, and the casings I got in there dont ever seem to contaminate. just let me know what yall think I should do to fix this,( get pins around the whole monotub, and help me not to get em contaminated) thanks, I got one tub goin now, and should probably be good to go into fruiting conditions in about a week, give or take a few days. The fruiting around the edges seems like an airflow problem to me.

Explain more about how you're making them, or what tek you're following.

Like if it's a clear tub with a black bag on the bottom etc. etc.

i'm using an 18 gallon tub, with the 4 holes (2 inches)stuffed with polyfill , and I got a top with plexiglass in it. the bottem tub is not clear, but I also got a trash bag surrounding it. substrate is coor with some verm and coffee added to it

Yeah if you're not fanning that it's defiantly do to lack of circulation I do four, 3 inch holes with poly fill, on both sides, and fan every day or so.

There's something with having 2 high holes and 2 holes right above the substrate that pushes the co2 out.

Get rid of the Plexiglass and cover it with some press and seal, and open a corner of it up every day and fan it with a magazine once or twice.
