Agar question, wet or dry???
    #11298605 - 10/22/09 12:22 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Just trying to get a general idea of what will produce the better result when putting spores to Agar... Use a loop and apply dry or wet the loop a little and apply...

:pm: me if you have questions about lasers

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

The problem with a wet loop is your going to get your print wet and this can cause problems

i personally would use spores that are already hydrated

this will cut germination time by a day or two

I prefer flaming the loop and then cooling it in the agar, that way you pick up spores and spread them without having to smear right through your print.
