    #11295008 - 10/21/09 08:10 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Got out for a quick hunt last sunday to find matsis popping at 2500'-3000', not as good as last season, but there was a fair amount of nice #1 buttons to be found and more on the way...  Also saw some other stuff, but only bothered picking matsis, just cooked some up, tasty

here are a few pictures:

Tricholoma magnivelare, Matsutake

Auricularia auricula, Wood ear

Chant

Hericium abietis

frostbitten straggler porcini

Phaeolepiota aurea

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Before you ask the answer is Yes, you have to say the whole thing and yes you have to say it every time, and yes that includes the "a pimp named" part.

I like the Phaeolepiota!  Don't see them posted often.
