orange fungus?
    #11290002 - 10/21/09 04:39 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

ok so i put this cake in a growing chamber

and a day later i started noticing the growing of an orange color fungus all over. [sorry i cant get a picture]
i'm pretty sure that the pinheads should not be orange though but i'm sure its not a foreign infection because its growing out all over from the area colonised with what i thought is the white, cubensis myc.

I'm pretty confused. was the mycelium maybe a foreign contaminant the whole time. Or are my pinheads growing orange???

i did search the forums but i can only find orange infections during colonisation
sory if i'm being ignorant
help is much appreciated

Did you give that cake a 1 week consolidation period after it reached 100% colonization.

No you have a contaminant, there are molds that have white mycelium.
