can't sleep, even though i'm super tired

my heart is just pumping hard, which makes it hard for me to just relax and sleep. this started happening to me soon after the great trip two weeks ago. it began incredibly, but when i ran into the cops and hallucinated that they were trying to take me away and gang rape and beat me up and thus resisted arrest, things weren't pretty for the next 3 days of residual tripping. anyway, when i try to rest, my heart just keeps pumping hard.... not sure how to alleviate this problem.

wow i can't believe that people get this treatment for enjoying themselvs. :nonono:

trying taking deep breaths and relax your muscles,looks straight up and close your eyes and imagine a nice grass field and try to imagine the feeling with a cool breeze.

Try talking to yourself in a slow soothing tone (with internal dialogue so you don't have to move your mouth), now at your computer or comfortably lying in your bed, and feel your body responding to your slowly soothing voice as you say things like...

"Relaxing now, now relaxing..."

"Feeling good, good feeling..."

"Comfortably yawn, yawn comfortably..."

"Sleepy feeling, feeling sleepy..."

"Relaxing slowly, slowly relaxing..."

"Slowing me down, down me slowing..."

"Gently drifting to sleeeep, sleep to drifting gently..."

"Body comfortable, comfortable body..."

"Heavy eyes are resting, resting eyes are heavy..."

"Slowly blinking longer, longer blinking slowly..."

Now go to bed... and keep repeating nice and gently similar words until you're resting completely..

If you give yourself a break and let it go away... then it probably will. But don't hurry it, even though it's a less than pleasant experience.. give it some time and space and trust your body's natural homeostatic mechanisms eventually righting themselves.

Now, if there's a tv show, cartoon or some pleasant music you'd like to put on, something to make you laugh, then take the time to just pamper and take care of yourself for a couple of days... and you'll be right as rain in no time. :heart:
