fuck the flu shot. theres a pretty good history of flu vaccines causing more serious medical problems than the flu they are designed to prevent. plus i think its unnecessary.

Yeah, that's not ready yet over here..
I don't have much choice but to get them, i'm a home carer for my mum who has emphysema, the last cold i had nearly killed her.
So far so good though, no complaints at all, quite the opposite.

if americans weren't jammed together in close proximity in addition to living extremely cancerous consumption lifestyles there'd be no need to drug everyone for every little malady life throws at you. i haven't taken a shot for anything for over 15 years or so and have caught maybe 2-3 small colds/coughs in that time.

I get sick a few times a year, but whatever. Not gonna get any shots. Not worth the time.
blkjk: There are plenty of countries who are more concentrated than us. I think poor habits are much more to blame than close proximity to each other.

I got mine a few weeks ago, the flu sucks so rather get a shot that might make me mildly sick then a full blown flu, and my room mate is a dirty fuck who isnt going to get one and I am sure he will get the flu this year again.

Fuck I hate shots but I hate the flu even more. I've been sick for a week n' half. I had a minor cold a couple weeks ago just runny nose/headachy/sore throaty kind of thing and then it went away for a week and I went on a re-lapse. The flu hit me like a semi-truck bustin' through the gates of hell. Only thing I can say here is that RoboTussin and buds is your friend through this fucked up ordeal. Get the flu shots!

In the knowledge that the effectiveness of flu vaccines is at best mediocre, I always receive my shots every year. It doesn't do me harm, and perhaps it has even prevented an illness or two. Of course, I'll never know. This year, I've had my regular flu shot last week and I'll be getting both of the swine flu shots that are recommended in my country (it's the same shot, but twice). There has been and continues to be discussion as to the required number of shots for protection of the swine flu, so I suppose there's a good chance that I'll contract it anyway, notwithstanding any shots.
