Bear with me as I've just begun my interest in mushroom hunting so I may not have the terminology all correct.
Habitat: Alder mulch (I believe) underneath alder trees (positive) near farmland, below 1k feet elevation. There was horse manure periodically scattered through the mulch, although none near where the LBM's were found.

Gills:
Chestnut brown, close.
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
6-8cm long, 1-3mm thick, thicker at the base than near the cap by maybe 1mm, off-white to light brown, smooth (some have fine white hairs near the base), hollow.
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap:
Largest cap slightly over 3cm, average slightly under 2cm. Lightest caramel, darkest deep olive brown. As they dry they are quickly bleaching to pale brown.

Spore print color: Dark brown with purple tones I'm pretty sure. Hard to tell, it's so dark.

Bruising:
Mushrooms do not bruise.
Other information:
Mushrooms lack pellicle, as far as I can tell. It's been a few days without rain and these were exposed to near direct sunlight. They were not wet and felt more smooth than slimy.

Thanks! Can I pretty much assume that if it doesn't have a pellicle and doesn't bruise blue or blue/green it's not worth my time? The pelliculosa description at Mushroomjohn.org didn't mention bruising or the pellicle, so I didn't want to assume to use them as identifiers.

Not necessarily.

Well it should mention that stuff. It's kind of a crappy site imo.
