Just picked this from a cake and haven't seen this before. Cap is open with black slime around. Did this mold?

You could probably do this and be fine, but if it were me I wouldn't do it.

yup, Ive cut off bad parts b4, like the cap and kept the stem or visa verse.
that blotch is from water setting there to long due to not enough fanning for fae.

even if you cut it off, do you think there is still a potential possibility of poisoning (the bad kind) that could hospitalize you?

if your allergic to the bacteria or mold it could but MOST all (not 100% of microbes) of that gets destroyed in your stomach acids.

yeah but the heat will kill the psilocybin right? i thought the chemical broke down at relatively low temperatures (tea is made at a lower temp, so it seems to me that more heat might kill the potency or at least reduce it
