my poem about a trip

wrote this to clear my head:

just another night,
after a hard day,
need to relax,
gonna get away,
mushrooms wisdom,
as they say.
wall of text,
has no effect,
take it all in,
with a glass of gin,
my thoughts dance,
body in a trance,
compelled by negativity,
shelled by my oddity,
a sense of dread ... fills my head,
the realization of brain cells turning up dead
there won't be any relief
no comfort or calm
stricken with grief
time is gone,
escaping light from the lantern,
repeating thought patterns,
it's all gone wrong.
hold on 'till dawn.
i am
no more
muscles relax
faster then the universe
a feeling, a life
who, me?
it can't be.
arise from the ashes,
of some former self,
putting memories of past,
upon the shelf,
fling the window open
oh my oh my
a billion pockets of energy
eminating in the sky
the world explodes in beauty
brown blue and green
a sight so shocking so valuable
so serene.
another trip some might say
but to me
it's a glorious day,
isn't it a pity,
all this wisdom,
this teacher,
is more illegal then cocaine?

I enjoyed it!
I write some poetry occasionally but since my youth, I have never taken criticism well so I wouldn't dare post my work on a public forum :wink:

Haha thanks for the input, I posted it last night but nobody responded so I got a little nervous. I hardly ever write, but I get lots of ideas and I just decided to put them on paper for a change.

Probably won't happen, but who cares, they're legal in many parts of the world, and have been around since before humans walked the planet. I think they're doing just fine.

Have you ever written anything while tripping?

I was thinking of trying that one time. My art definitely gets abstract and interesting, I dunno about my writing though. ^_^
