So even music takes you out of a trip? I love nature, but even when outside I love to having music playing. Tripping to me is all about music.
Sorry if I came across as saying "taking me out of a trip" was always the worst thing in the world. Music is of course great, can make you experience things you never would while listening sober. But to really get deep... silence, conversation, self-made music, or nature sounds are the best. Don't get me wrong, I listen to music at some point during every trip.
Films and video games make me very antsy and give me the classic "I need to go do something else" trip feel. I am very fidgety naturally though.
All a matter of tastes. I have gone into different worlds on Mushrooms and Music. Stories as long as LOTR or any book unfolding within a mere 20 minutes. I can have music on and still feel the natural vibes of the planet. I feel without music while tripping that I am lost. That I am away from the world, music makes me feel connected to everything. Cannot wait to trip again. I have taken LSD twice in the last month but both were low doses, need to go deep again.

One of my favorite hobbies!
I used to play Tetris Attack with my friend while on mushrooms. I would enter a crazy zen-like state, where I could see all the combos.. I became god-like. No one could beat me!

you're IN the fucking game lol.
this is especially apparent with Sonic Adventure Battle 2. lots of loops and spinning and running at high speed across landscapes. simply amazing.
and also Super Mario Sunshine. I don't even play the game I just run around with my squirt gun squirting people and zipping around the island with my water jet pack. best thing ever.

Do you guys have any qualms with first-person shooters while tripping? I haven't been able to play them sober in years. Or I just don't want to. Violence-steeped culture kind of sickens me.
Doesn't it ever make you feel ... dirty? I think splattering someone's brains against a wall would send me into a bad thought loop. Especially if it felt like the game was real.

I don't know man. I kind of think the opposite, but then again I'm totally down to play GTA 4 anytime stoned and just drive down the sidewalks. Killing people in real life is most definitely wrong, but in a video game? Its fun as fuck. I'm a pretty spiritual person too, but I have no problem killing something that does not have any real life to it.

Yeah, I know video games won't turn us into killers. It's just the idea of being entertained by that kind of thing. Maybe I'm just sensitive.

One time on mushrooms my friend was playin GTA IV, and it was just too much for a little while. I was tripping really really hard, and I was focusing on the AI and random pedestrians in the game rather than what my friend was doin. I'd see one person running down the street chasing after someone else and wonder wtf just happened in another part of the game while I wasn't there. One old lady pulled out a baseball bat. It was weird

Video games usually get really weird and I can only play them for about a half hour tripping before I lose interest.
But COD:WAW was pretty intense tripping... I have no problem splattering a pixelated charters head across the screen tripping or not.
Skate is a good game if a trip is getting overwhelming and you need something to take your mind off things and help you calm down, it feels very smooth and fluid... almost hypnotizing and very calming indeed.
I generally like shooters more though... the right one can really get the adrenaline flowing.

the exact opposite for me. i was playing counter-strike source on 4-5g of cubes and it was awesome watching headshots. it looked so real and i thought it was the coolest thing to put a bullet in the guys head and watch him slam into the wall. i was much more focused than usual and i was getting noscope headshots with the scout like i had hacks on lol.
