Cambo Cubensis
    #11280285 - 10/19/09 10:35 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

So this is gonna be a long post but im starting my first mushroom grow with cambodian cubensis, i heard these were the best for beginners. so im gonna explain my process just tell me if it sounds good.

1st. mix the virmec, brown rice flour, and water and place in 1/2 pint jars

2. sterilize the jars, i dont have a pressure cooker but im pretty sure i could just put them in a pot with water for a few hours

3. once sterilized and cool, inject the spores. im making the syringes in a glove box i made so keeping the syringe clean wont be problem

4. after injecting the spores ill put the jars in a warm dark place and allow them to inoculate.

5. once covered in mycelium and i start to see little dark spots ill put the cakes in my aquarium with the perlite on the bottom to keep the moisture up. and they should start to grow from there with me misting and fanning them 2-3 times a day.

also i heard mixing poo with vermec and flour helps alot with mycelium growth

sound about right?

all cubensis strains are easy for beginners except pe at times or albinos ... you seem as if your trying to sum up a grow in 4 sentences ... not many replies are going to come your way as everything you are asking is like the top most searched topics in the search engine ...

watch rrs how to grow mushrooms video and do as he does ..?

VERM holds water, SIOL des not.

VERM is NOT nutritious, it just holds needed water..

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

if there is mold then its gotta go. it would have deposited mold spores and its better off to just start again
