RR says they won't hurt the grow and they aren't a problem.
I find them terribly annoying and I terminate them with extreme prejudice.

Fungus gnats are slow and stupid, you can squash them in mid air. Fruit flies are faster and smarter and craftier.

fungus gnats drove me insane with my straw basket.

I had fly paper inside the fc and I was sucking them up with the vacuum every chance I got.

Problem is that they reproduce so damn fast.

I had some pop up on my last grow and aside from being a little annoying, they didn't disturb the grow at all. They seemed to die off, though.

as said, vacuums, fly paper your palms and bug spray (away from you mushies!!!!!!!) are all very helpful. ive noticed no harm with them to the mushrooms but... when i open the lid to a monotub thats been infected they can swarm all over.

not something that helps convince your signifigant other that your new hobby is just fine...

I got a small infestation when I opened up my window to put the AC in, I was too lazy to tape it up or anything  If I had kept the window closed I'm sure nothing would have entered the room. Check to see if you keep a window open or somewhere else they could come in...you'll notice it eventually. I noticed my bugs really quickly.
