I've been using adderall/ritalin for nearly 6 years now. Started off doing insane dosages. For about the past year i've noticed a lot of negative shit going on with my body. My main concern is neuron damage. it seems like a lot of stuff is inconclusive about if this damage is permanent or not. I'll provide more details if anyone knows anything on this topic. Even a link would be nice. I'd like to go to a doctor, but only if there is something they could do to help. It's really startin to mess with me.

what are you noticing? i have not read anything regarding these drugs and neuronal damage, esp, the controlled stuff. liver damage maybe, not sure...
perhaps its best to talk with a doctor, maybe he/she can run some tests to see if the vital organs are still functioning well

Ritalin is speed right? I think that can cause psychosis, and I think any chemical in the brain in copious amounts causes damage, however neuronal damage is recoverable - the brain regenerates. Why are you taking heaps of ritalin?

I haven't taken ritalin in 5 years. After I started using adderall, ritalin was not worth it. When i was 13, my buddy had a prescription to it and would give me it a bottle at a time. And i'd abuse them badly.

> Ritalin is speed right? I think that can cause psychosis
Generally, it is lack of sleep that causes psychosis with speed users, not the drug itself.

Unfortunately, because of the war on drugs, you are going to have a difficult time finding accurate information. Even journal papers on the subject are biased, often filled with fraudulent research. However, does it really matter? Knowing if the damage is permanent or not changes nothing. Your body is telling you that it cannot handle the abuse any longer. Break the habit and learn to live with the problems you face. They may get better, or they may not. Take it one day at a time and don't worry about what the future holds.

My advice is esat raw garlic, engage in less sexual activity, eat chia seeds(research it), and eat a handful of berries a day.

Speed is neurotoxic even in its pure form.
Its best to use as little as possible.
Most of the symptoms will go away in a few months if you stop.
