I was out looking for chanterelles this afternoon, and I stumbled across some clusters of what I think may be Oyster mushrooms. What is throwing me off is that they were growing on the floor of the forest, connected to the roots underground. The trees surrounding the mushrooms were oak, pine, and american birch if that makes any difference. I am taking a spore print now, but they look to be white/light tan from what I can tell. They look incredibly similar to the ones pictured here:

omg. lol. i found the same ones and went back a week later(30 miles away)to collect dinner. I was sure they were oysters. I got back and they looked different and dry. I was so upset!!!!!
