better pinning through burlap/plastic mesh..?

i read something on here a while ago where somebody used an undisclosed type of plastic mesh wrapped around the cake during colonization, but i didnt catch the results or the procedure. so i was wondering if, when using the PF tek, you wrap the cakes(or line the jars) with some kind of porous fibrous materials such as burlap or perhaps a fine plastic mesh(like kinds used for sewing or cross stitching) before sterilizing and innoculating, and leaving it on the whole way through fruiting, if it would produce better pinning results.

anybody hear anything or have any experience with this?

sounds feasible. tho a dunk and roll would provide better results id imagine. seems kind of unnecessary

how long ago was this.  sounds interesting the burlap instead of the verm i guess.  You could always just try it and tell us how it works

id say it was about a month ago i saw it but i cant seem to locate the original thread. but the guy's pictures showed compact, even pinning, and thick masses of mushrooms.

I think it was Jitsu's bulk thread... Halfway through he mentions experimenting with a mesh during pinning and shows side-by-side comparisons of a half-meshed cake.
